Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of this platform and any car rental booked through it. By making a reservation, you agree to these Terms in full.
1. Platform Role
This platform connects renters with independent car rental agencies. Unless a booking is made directly with our own fleet, the rental agreement is between you and the rental agency; the agency is solely responsible for the vehicle's condition, insurance, availability, and compliance with applicable regulations. The platform acts as an intermediary and is not a party to that rental agreement.
2. Rental Price and Period
Prices are shown in the currency selected at checkout. Rentals are calculated on a 24-hour basis from the agreed pickup time. A grace period of up to 1 hour is allowed at no extra charge; delays beyond 2 hours may be charged as one additional full rental day.
3. Payment
Full payment is generally required to confirm a booking, unless the agency's listing states otherwise. Accepted payment methods depend on the agency and may include cash and major debit/credit cards. Card payments may carry a processing fee, disclosed at checkout.
4. Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit may be required at vehicle pickup, in an amount set by the rental agency and shown on the vehicle listing. Deposits are refunded after the agency inspects the returned vehicle, less any amounts properly withheld under these Terms.
5. Cancellations and Changes
Free cancellation is generally available up to 48 hours before pickup, unless the agency's listing states a different policy (for example, longer notice may be required during high season). Requests to change dates, pickup location, or vehicle should be made as early as possible and are subject to availability.
6. What Is Typically Included
Unless stated otherwise on the vehicle listing: third-party liability insurance, unlimited mileage, applicable local taxes, and 24-hour roadside assistance for mechanical faults not caused by the driver.
7. What Is Typically Excluded
Fuel, traffic and parking fines (renter's responsibility), and an administrative handling fee for processing any fine received after the rental ends.
8. Pickup and Drop-off
Standard pickup/drop-off locations are shown on the vehicle listing. Delivery to a different location, or across a border, may incur an additional fee and must be agreed in advance with the agency.
9. Vehicle Inspection and Damage
The vehicle's condition is recorded at pickup and checked again at return. The renter is responsible for any damage that occurred during the rental and is not covered by the applicable insurance.
10. Vehicle Condition
Vehicles offered on this platform are expected to be roadworthy, insured, and fitted with standard safety equipment.
11. Driver Requirements
Drivers must be at least 21 years old (higher deposits may apply for younger or first-time drivers) and hold a full driving licence for a minimum of 2 years. A valid passport or national ID and driving licence are required at pickup. An International Driving Permit is required for licences not printed in Latin script. Any additional driver must be registered with the agency before driving the vehicle.
12. Breakdowns and Technical Problems
If the vehicle breaks down, contact the emergency number provided in your rental agreement as soon as possible. Reasonable repair costs may be reimbursed on presentation of a receipt; the agency will arrange a replacement vehicle where a breakdown cannot be resolved on the spot.
13. Insurance and Damage Waivers
Basic third-party insurance is included as described in Section 6. Optional protection (such as a collision damage waiver or reduced-excess cover) may be available at booking or at pickup, subject to the agency's own policy. Any applicable excess amount will be shown before you confirm the optional cover. A police report is generally required to make a claim under any damage or theft cover.
14. Accidents and Theft
In the event of an accident or theft, the renter must: secure the vehicle and the scene where safe to do so, contact the local police, obtain a police report, collect the details of any other parties/witnesses involved, and notify the rental agency as soon as possible.
15. Costs Not Covered by Insurance
Insurance does not cover: loss of personal belongings, traffic fines, use of the wrong fuel type, lost keys, lost registration documents, interior damage from negligence, damage caused while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, off-road or racing use, driving by an unauthorised/unregistered driver, overloading the vehicle, or damage to roof racks/luggage boxes.
16. Cleaning and Smoking
A reasonable cleaning fee may be charged if the vehicle is returned significantly dirtier than at pickup. Smoking in the vehicle is not permitted and may result in an additional cleaning charge.
17. Prohibited Use
The vehicle may not be used: outside the country without the agency's prior written permission, for any unlawful purpose, while the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, for racing or off-road driving, to tow another vehicle, on unpaved or restricted roads, to carry hazardous materials, by a driver not registered on the rental agreement, or for subletting/re-hiring to a third party.
18. Vehicle Return
The vehicle must be returned on the agreed date, time, and location, in the same condition as at pickup (fuel level included, per Section 7). Returning the vehicle significantly late or to an unauthorised location may result in additional charges and, where the rental agreement has been materially breached, the agency may recover the vehicle.
19. Vehicle Photos and Substitutions
Photos on a vehicle listing are illustrative. Where the exact vehicle shown is unavailable, the agency may provide a comparable vehicle of the same or a higher category.
20. Agency and Platform Responsibility
Rental agencies operate independently and are solely responsible for their vehicles' safety, maintenance, insurance, pricing, and compliance with local regulations. Where a booking is made with an independent agency (rather than our own fleet), the platform's role is limited to facilitating the booking; the platform is not responsible for the agency's acts, omissions, or the performance of the rental agreement, and any dispute regarding the rental itself should be resolved directly with the agency.
21. Data Protection
Personal data provided when making a booking is processed to manage your reservation, provide customer support, meet legal and accounting obligations, and โ where you have agreed โ for marketing communications. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time using the contact details on this site.
22. Acceptance of These Terms
Confirming a booking on this platform constitutes acceptance of these Terms, together with any additional conditions specific to the rental agency shown on the vehicle listing.
23. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or applicable law. The version in effect at the time of your booking will apply to that booking.
